My kids don’t usually choose mackerel, but they happily eat it when I turn it into fish paste and serve it in a comforting bowl of soup with meehoon.
Sometimes it’s not the ingredient they dislike. It’s simply the way it’s served.
If you do not have freshly make mackerel fish paste, you can use ready made or frozen mackerel fish paste from the supermarket or your local frozen seafood shop. Just thaw it properly before cooking.
