Salmon Miso Rice

A simple one pot meal for busy days and nourishing for the whole family.

Ingredients

  • Japanese rice (washed)
  • Salmon
  • 1 tbsp miso paste (or more if you like a stronger flavour)
  • 1 cube minced garlic
  • 1 tsp minced ginger
  • Mushroom powder (to taste)
  • Fried shallot oil
  • Small cube of butter
  • Seaweed flakes

Instructions

  1. Spread the miso paste over the salmon and set aside.
  2. Add washed Japanese rice into the pressure cooker.
  3. Add the garlic, ginger, mushroom powder and a drizzle of fried shallot oil.
  4. Place the salmon on top of the rice.
  5. Add a small cube of butter.
  6. Cook in the pressure cooker for 14 minutes.
  7. Once done, remove any bones from the salmon and flake the fish into the rice or better if you use boneless salmon fillet
  8. Add seaweed flakes and mix everything well.
  9. Serve immediately while hot 😋

Make sure you get the salmon fillet, that's boneless, more suitable for young children
